    • Reviewing and upgrading Terraform legacy code
    • Migrating workloads to an Azure Kubernetes Cluster
    • Setting up Azure Application Gateway Ingress Controller in Azure Kubernetes Cluster (AGIC)
    • Support for security harding measurements in AKS (Implementation of secret providers, certificate management, persistent volumes, implement logging and alerting in Azure)
    • General troubleshooting
  • A global producer for sealing technologies (> 10.000 emp)
    • Implementing Azure Virtual WAN for VPN Access to Cloud and OnPremise Infrastructure
    • Implementation and Configuration of multiple Fortigate Firewall Clusters in Azure including Static Route Configuration and Site-to-Site connection with onpremise clusters

At a global chemistry company in Düsseldorf, Germany, I am honored to arrange a reoccuring interactive hands-on workshop on a two-weekly basis. In cooperation with the requirements of Henkel DevOps team, I have designed two custom workshops that focus on the following components of Azure DevOps:

Azure DevOps Basics Track
  • What are the key benefits of DevOps
  • Learning about the overall usage of Azure DevOps
  • Working with DevOps Teams, Areas and Iterations
  • Define and aggragate Work Items
  • Sprint Planning and Long Term Planning
  • Modifying the process of an Azure DevOps project
  • Introducing Azure DevOps Test Plans
  • The workshop is fully hands-on. Participants are actively working with exercises in a real world Azure DevOps project.

Azure DevOps Technical Deep Dive
  • Focussing on the technical parts of Azure DevOps
  • Working with Git Repositories, Commits, Pull Requests
  • Working in a Gitflow scenario
  • Automating Deployments using Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Working with Multi-Stage Yaml Pipelines
  • The workshop is fully hands-on. Participants are actively solving exercises and have an automated platform for solution assessment, that I especially built for the purpose of this workshop.
After having kicked off the first season with 6 training events in 2021, I have been contracted with an additional season of 20 workshops in 2022.

Together with the team of the cloud competence center at a global player in automobile industry, I am actively developping and improving the overall hybrid cloud infrastructure, following the Enterprise Scale Recommendations of Microsoft. We lay the ground for upcoming use cases and a reliable overall infrastructure.

My activities include:
  • Build and run Azure DevOps Pipelines to perform automated and continuous infrastructure deployment
  • Designing and implementing infrastructure as code base using Terraform definition language (HCL)
  • Assisting and moving forward with the Hybrid Cloud Scenario, focusing on Network capabilities and IT Security (Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall)

  • Defining reusable infrastructure as code modules in Terraform and building up a module based concept to deliver state of the art resources following best practice recommendations
