Data Governance Expert

I hold a Master’s degree in Information Systems and have over eight years of professional experience specializing in Data Governance, particularly Metadata Management and Data Catalogs. My background spans consulting, pre-sales, and working directly with technology vendors developing and commercializing Data Catalog solutions. I currently work at DSV, where I lead initiatives across Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, and Collibra.

My expertise covers the entire Data Governance lifecycle, from strategic advisory and framework development to hands-on implementation and operationalization. I have supported organizations in selecting Data Catalog solutions, defining evaluation criteria and KPIs, and developing Data Governance strategies aligned with business objectives. I have also designed governance frameworks covering roles and responsibilities, standards, policies, processes, and workflows.

I bring extensive hands-on experience across the full range of Collibra capabilities, covering both platform configuration and implementation. This includes designing and configuring metadata models and operating models, creating business glossaries, integrating data sources to extract technical metadata, importing metadata through file-based uploads, and executing metadata migrations. I have also worked on data modeling, data lineage, and the classification and enrichment of technical metadata with business terms and context. In addition, I have designed and implemented governance workflows, helping organizations translate their governance requirements into operational solutions within Collibra.

My project experience includes leading Data Catalog initiatives for large German enterprises, including two projects with Informatica and three with Collibra. Beyond implementation, I have experience with user onboarding, training, and change enablement to support the adoption of Data Governance solutions.

I also have a strong background in Data Management education and enablement. I have led workshops and internal training sessions on Data Governance fundamentals, data domains and their distinctions—including metadata, reference data, master data, and transactional data—as well as Data Mesh, Data Products, and Data Stewardship models.

I combine strategic consulting expertise, technical platform proficiency, and practical implementation experience to help organizations establish effective Data Governance frameworks and turn them into sustainable, business-oriented solutions.
