Senior Software Engineer Full Stack Elixir, Flutter

As the second engineer at Toyota Connected Europe, a startup backed by Toyota, I played a crucial role in the design and development of the company’s Mobility Services Platform (MSPF). My responsibilities included building mobility services such as car sharing, ride hailing, and ride sharing. I utilized a range of cutting-edge technologies, including Elixir, GraphQL, Postgres, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes, to deliver a robust and scalable platform. With my strong technical skills and early involvement in the project, I made a significant impact on the success of Toyota Connected Europe and helped establish the company as a leader in mobility services.

As a software engineer at Wunder, I was tasked with designing and developing a new backend system written in Elixir during a pivotal time in the company’s transition from a ride-hailing product to a carpooling product. I played a key role in the redesign of the core algorithms, including the matching process. In addition, I validated and implemented various new technologies, such as Kubernetes for deployment management, Elixir and Phoenix as the backend language and framework, GraphQL for the API layer, and Neo4j as the graph database. With my expertise in these technologies and ability to effectively lead development efforts, I helped Wunder successfully navigate its transition and deliver a cutting-edge carpooling platform.

As the lead software engineer in a team of fifteen, I was instrumental in the design, development, and deployment of a comprehensive event and ticketing solution platform. My responsibilities included establishing a new technology team in London and leading the redesign of the platform’s backend core functionality, including the implementation of a flexible, scalable, and consistent API. I also ensured the platform was equipped for internationalization and localization, expanded currency support, and implemented a prediction engine to enhance user experience. With my strong leadership and technical skills, I effectively managed the development team and delivered a cutting-edge event and ticketing platform that met project goals and exceeded client expectations.
