I support companies in the successful implementation of software projects. This includes evaluating software architectures, introducing test strategies, analyzing requirements and implementing features.
Since 2015, I’ve been passionately working as a problem solver in the field of software development. I automate business processes, develop software products, and support development teams worldwide.
In 2024, I founded the company RAIISoft. The goal is to help entrepreneurs and development teams bring their software to market readiness and minimize errors from the start through test automation.
Challenges I solved in recent projects:
- Contributed to the development of medical device software in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13485, helping the project achieve a major development milestone through bug fixing, feature development, and software improvements
- Implemented a custom C-based UI framework for an e-ink display used in a medical device
- Introduced testing strategies for legacy C++ projects in the automotive industry
- Developed a modern C++11 library (architectural design, testing strategies, API design, customer communication) to abstract the OSNMA technology for verifying Galileo positioning data
- Contributed to embedded software that abstracts network communication between multiple processes on a head unit used in commercial vehicles
Abstract of technologies I work with on a daily basis:
Programming languages: C++, C, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, VueJS
Database management systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL
Build system generators: CMake / Autotools
Version control systems: Git / SVN (GitHub / GitLab / Gerrit)
Frameworks / Libraries: Ionic / Express.js / GTest
There are many more technologies related to software development in which I support businesses. Feel free to reach out for a non-binding introductory meeting.

Projekthistorie
- Cross-platform C++20 device library: Extended and modernized the library in C++20 and maintained its communication layer to the device controllers – serial ports via the FTDI library, framed with the SLIP protocol.
- Unit testing & continuous integration: Introduced GoogleTest and GoogleMock, made the library testable and extended the Azure DevOps pipelines so that unit tests and cppcheck static analysis run on every pull request.
- Build infrastructure & dependency management: Containerized the build environment with Docker, refactored CMake to support clean install targets and restructured the vcpkg dependency management.
- System-level debugging: Root-caused defects across the full system chain (PC application → shared library → four bare-metal microcontrollers), working in pairs with the firmware engineers.
- Regulatory work & documentation: Development within the client’s ISO 13485 quality management system and IEC 62304 software lifecycle, including formal process training. Created the SBOM including SOUP list and vulnerability assessment of security-relevant findings, updated design documents in Polarion and produced code review documentation.
- Bare-metal device drivers: Wrote drivers in bare-metal C for a 2.13″ e-paper display (Good Display GDEY0213B74, SSD1680, SPI) and an IMU, configured the power management ICs – including Qi wireless charging – via I²C and evaluated their GPIO status signals.
- Widget-based GUI framework: Designed and built a GUI framework from scratch: horizontal and vertical boxes, centering, icons, rounded corners and a bar chart widget for the urine output history.
- Fonts & rendering: Converted the typeface into C arrays with a font converter tool and integrated it into the framework’s text rendering.
- Golden-sample testing: Made rendering an injectable strategy: in GoogleTest it writes an image that is compared bit-exactly against golden samples checked into version control; on the device the same code renders into the display driver’s frame buffer.
- Firmware integration & coordination: Integrated drivers and GUI into the bare-metal super-loop firmware via SVN, connected sensor data to the GUI layer and verified the behavior on a development board. Coordinated directly with Elixion Medical, the UI designer and the development partner.
