Skills
I am a master graduate majoring in Infection Biology at the University of Basel in association with Swiss Tropical Public and Health Institute and will receive my degree this spring. There, I gained expertise in various techniques, such as mammalian expression systems, cell culture, protein purification, PCR, ELISA and Western blot. Furthermore, my bachelor’s senior project was about bioassay lethality, which required me to study staining techniques, plant extraction, histopathology, and to use a microscope to study how cells would respond under stress. Furthermore, the tasks during my first internship were to perform in vitro culture of Plasmodium falciparum, PCR, DNA, and RNA extraction, and recognize different stages of the parasite. From these experiences, they enhanced my laboratory and analytical skills as well as shaped me to become better at planning and focusing on details.
Besides academia, I also proactively participated in extracurricular activities. During my bachelor’s degree, I was a sophomore class committee and a secretary in the Choir Club. Recently, I become one of the committees of the Association of Thai Students in Switzerland to help Thai students who study aboard to meet and support each other through activities. These activities broadened my communicating, documenting, and compromising skills, which I believe are the core assets to work in a team.
I am highly motivated to be part of the company, since it is an exciting opportunity to combine my field knowledge with first-hand experience and further grow my career in this scientifically active atmosphere. I am confident that my skills, experience, and strong interests in the field of immunology would be a valuable addition to the company. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
