Setup
Product manufacturers, system suppliers and engineering service providers. Distributed teams across multiple sites and continents. Technical leadership without disciplinary authority - steering through structure, evidence and escalation, not the org chart.
What I Do
I step into development under schedule, delivery or organisational pressure - scope unclear, ownership missing, contributions untraceable, release date no longer defensible. I create transparency on status, risks and decisions, then turn it into working structures, reporting and escalation - through to release and delivery maturity, so the team keeps running once I hand back.
Why Cross-Industry
Standards differ, the mechanics do not: requirement, risk, evidence, release. Having led this across automotive, rail, medical and industrial development, I spot a broken evidence chain faster than someone who knows one regulatory frame.
Core Strengths
- Leading engineering, project or delivery ownership end-to-end
- Stabilising development under delivery, compliance or ramp-up pressure
- Steering engineering across development, quality, suppliers and management
- Maturity tracking, release logic, evidence structures, assessment readiness
- Working standards for reviews, change control and decision-making
- Functional safety and cybersecurity across engineering and supplier interfaces
- Team enablement through workshops and training
Experience
Delivering complex products to series release, several manufacturers in parallel. Sites in Germany, Italy, France, North America and Japan. German native, fluent English.
Delivery side: I prepare and defend evidence towards independent assessors - not accredited as auditor or assessor.

Projekthistorie
Management of functional safety and cybersecurity for HUD series development in an ASIL-B/C environment from concept phase to series launch. Maturity tracking, safety case evidence, and cross-site alignment with development, suppliers, and OEM interfaces form the central responsibilities.
Safety and cybersecurity management for HUD series development including variant maturity, evidence management and series launch. Management responsibility covers maturity tracking, clarification of open points and alignment across distributed sites, suppliers and OEM interfaces. Operational execution is reflected in concept development, analyses, workshops, assessments, consistent evidence management and safeguarding through to series maturity.
- Planning, steering, and coordination of all functional safety and cybersecurity activities
- Further development of project-specific safety and cybersecurity approaches
- Ensuring compliance, maturity, audit-ready evidence, and release readiness

Assurance of safety and cybersecurity compliance for an electronic steering system in an ASIL-D environment. Inspections, confirmation reviews, internal assessments, and assessor alignment clarify evidence quality, open points, and external assessment readiness.
Inspection and assessment ownership is directed at safety and cybersecurity compliance for an electronic steering system in an ASIL-D environment. Evidence, artifact quality, deviations and open points are evaluated across function, system, hardware and software domains as well as safety analyses. Status reporting, escalation, assessor alignment and facilitation of reviews, workshops and awareness formats support preparation for external assessments.
- Conducting internal assessments, inspections, and confirmation reviews in functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Assessing evidence, work product quality, and compliance across multiple development domains.
- Identifying, structuring, and tracking findings, deviations, and open issues.

Responsibility for functional safety and cybersecurity of an ASIL-D high-voltage charging platform through SOP in a resident setup. Safety-critical topics, FuSa team leadership, and OEM/supplier alignment are managed across distributed development and production interfaces.
As resident, safety/security steering is applied to an ASIL-D high-voltage charging platform through SOP. Responsibility includes FuSa team leadership, steering at system and software level, OEM/supplier alignment, the Development Interface Agreement and safety case evidence. Escalation, task-force coordination and supplier-side follow-up safeguard the handling of safety-critical anomalies, release statuses and open safety topics under time and maturity constraints.
- Responsibility for functional safety and cybersecurity in the further development of an ASIL D high-voltage charging platform up to SOP
- Leadership of an internationally distributed functional safety team
- Ownership of the customer interface for safety and security topics including status reporting to the OEM
