Global IT Solutions Company requires a suitably experienced Senior Networks Engineer for their established financial services client based in the city of London.
This role is on-site in City, London
As part of a global team you will be providing design, implementation and support across the estate for LAN, WAN, Metro, WiFi, Network Security, Cloud and data centre technologies
You will have a strong background in network and network security design and implementation with over 5 years experience working within a network/security design and implementation
Senior Networks Engineer - CCNP
Location: City, London
Day Rate: Negotiable Inside IR35
Contract Length: 3 months +
Key Skills
Excellent understand of data flows and protocol interaction
Excellent understanding of IP routing based on common IGP routing protocols including redistribution, summarisation and policy control
Good understanding of BGP design and deployment within both Enterprise and Service Provider space
Excellent understanding of traditional Layer 2 design and its limitations
Good understanding of data centre Layer 2 technologies such as vPC, OTV, VXLAN, etc.
Excellent understanding of large campus design and deployment
Good practical cloud knowledge, detailed networking especially in MS Azure
Good knowledge of Enterprise wireless platforms
Detailed knowledge of Firewall and Proxy design and deployment - Palo Alto, McAfee and Checkpoint
Good understanding of load-balancing technologies especially Citrix
Excellent knowledge of device and service management and monitoring
Experience of data centre design and implementation
