Ruby on Rails Developer - Senior Software Engineer
A major central government organisation has come to us seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to join them till outside IR35.
The role will be fully remote.
Essential:
- Developing responsive web applications using Ruby-on-Rails and in line with tech stack
- Coaching, mentoring and supervising junior developers to deliver successful outcomes
- Working with UX design teams to develop prototypes into full production code
- Working with QA testers to follow automated and manual testing regimes to ensure that code is fully tested before live deployment
- Working with CI/CD toolchains to deploy code into live
- Fixing bugs and service issues quickly to minimise user disruption
- Working with GOV.UK tools eg PaaS, Notify.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years' Rails experience
- Computer Science degree
- Brand names in work history
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Prior Government Digital Service standard work
