This is a remote role but our client is actually based in Berlin. If there are no longer travel restrictions due to Covid-19 after the initial 3 Month Contract, you will be required onsite Monday - Thursday with Fridays Remote.
Job Details:
IVR Software Engineer
Responsible, under general supervision, for moderately complex engineering and/or analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom IVR function (such as, but not limited to, user interface design/implementation, or operations/user support).
- Responsible for IVR development and maintenance focusing on German localization of a core global IVR application.
- Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and assists in the identification of system problems.
- Work closely with business units and cross-functional team on new IVR initiatives, Project Updates, Code Management
- Responds to the issues that come up daily on the function of the company's voice applications equipment. Updating of documentation repository to ensure all documents are relevant/up-to-date.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Hands on experienced in VXML, Core Java, Speech grammars and GrXML.
- Experience in conversation design for the German market
- Technical knowledge of speech and language technologies, eg ASR, NLU, TTS
- Professional experience with IVR development platform advantageous such as Nuance Development Framework (NDF).
- At least 4 years' working experience in Spring Framework, Hibernate, REST services, JavaScript, JSP, Junit.
- Optionally experience with following Agile development, Maven, Jenkins, Oracle DB and Cyara.
- Ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements.
- Demonstrate effective communication in English (written and verbal).
- Self-driven and be able to work to improve the existing platform.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience With Windows Server and Linux Server advantageous.
- Experience with Apache (Tomcat) Web Server.
