Aufgabe:The client is searching for a Controlling consultant who can evaluate and check the proposals made by the other consultancy and challenge and support their project manager. Business and technical approaches suggested by the other consultancy shall be evaluated critically and their feasibility for the business and, in particular, the possibility of an implementation in SAP CO must be checked. Deep knowledge in and left and right from SAP CO and controlling and finance processes is therefore necessary.
The consultant's main task will be to support the concept phase of the project on the IT side with the abovementioned information as a general guideline. Our client sees the consultant as a CO architect who can discuss with the other consultancy's project manager on eye level.

- Value responsibility: Profit center, cost center hierarchies, cost element hierarchies, profitability analysis, etc.
- Plant management/calculation: Cost center hierarchies for production/plant, variable and fixed costs, calculations for materials, variance calculations, cost center planning in production, etc.
- Chart of Accounts adjustments
It has to be noted that the client's business is copper and other metals and that the metals & commodities environment is different from other industries in many perspectives. The client has a large, elaborate custom metals solution implemented in their system. The consultant should therefore know the metals or commodities industry and be able to deal with a system that is, in many ways, different from the SAP standard. Particulary on the logistics side, things are significantly different from the standard because where usually a material is of interest, any metals solution adds an additional level of detail, the metal.
The consultant should be senior and have significant SAP CO experience.
Anforderung:
The client needs support in their current "Controlling Excellence" project. The project is conducted with another consultancy and includes conceptual work for reorganizing structures in controlling, including in particular the corresponding implementation in SAP CO. Organizational changes in the company and the ongoing effort to harmonize two independent SAP systems within the group into one, while in parallel harmonizing processes and surrounding structures, are part of the project.
SAP R/3/ECC, Standard Modules incl. New GL, first and foremost SAP CO and adjacent modules such as FI.
