Task:Goal: Provide Consulting for pre project to evaluate the change to a drawing less engineering at Siemens PD LD. Based on the Siemens Industry PLM Charta the engineering should change from a drawing centric process to a process with the 3D model as master object.
To evaluate the necessary changes and methods a pre project was established.
Content:
- Analyze existing drawings and add content of drawings to models using NX PMI as a prove of concept for a drawing less process
- Define methods how to use NX PMI including training and documentation
- Describe and if required (as a prototype) create functions in NX needed for drawing less processes (for example auto scaling of PMI, auto generation of drawing)
- Define parameters for JT generation to allow drawingless processes within Siemens PD LD
- Define requirements for viewing JTs (with VisView or other JT-viewer) to allow a drawing less
