Network Security Consultant - Germany
Our client urgently needs a Network Security specialist to help set up security controls for large organisations.
Role:
You will be supporting the client in ensuring that risks, such as Malware spread, APT attacks etc. are properly blocked through expert security controls. The plan is to help set up a central network security group that will support a number of global companies owned by the client. Therefore the duties will include research, evaluation, recommendation and assistance in implementing security devices and controls.
Within your role you will be defining configurations, carrying out security audits, status reports and documentation.
Skills:
You will have expert knowledge of IT/IP security related issues and compliance. Your knowledge should include, and is not limited to:
- PCI DSS and Safe Harbor
- NAC systems
- Firewalls
- IPS/IDS
- DDoS
- Information security methodologies
- authentication protocols
- SIEM
Soft skills:
Since this role involves speaking and liaising with contacts in various offices, excellent communication skills as well as a consultative approach will be vital. Additionally, you will taking a part lead of a small team, and therefore leadership skills must be proven. Whilst German is nice to have, fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.

- The role is based in Munich, Germany.
- Initially this is a 6 month contract with an extension beyond this.
We are looking for an immediate start as this is an urgent project. Interview slots have been organised for the end week 4 (telephone interviews, or where possible, face-to-face for locally based candidates).
