Supplier Contract Management Specialist - Munich

Bluefish Communications, an IT consulting and professional services company, is experiencing exponential growth within our customer base.

We are looking for a Supplier Contract Management Specialist to work for us on a Bluefish project for a multinational client based in Munich. We need someone with solid experience who has managed the contracting side of large outsourced telecommunication or infrastructure or application management contracts. A particular focus of importance is the preparation and migration of multiple contracts, plus rigorous contract management - including numerous change requests, service providers and in turn, from different parts of the organisation and its subsidiaries. Our specialist will need to consolidate and enforce formal contract management policies and processes to prevent scope creep and ensure that global service delivery standards are met.

The individual we choose must have the seniority, business experience and maturity to develop a deep, meaningful relationship with the vendor. We must strive to ensure that our client becomes the vendor's most valuable customer in order to maintain excellent vendor performance. This specialist must be a strategic thinker and understand the whole business - exploiting mutually beneficial opportunities that arise. The ideal candidate will be well versed in contract terminology, able to manage the contract documents and oversee internal and external approval processes. All relevant documentation must tracked and maintained including those relating to contracts, issues, risks, changes, SOW, SLA, quality, invoices etc. But managing the vendor to the contract is just one aspect of the role, no contract covers every eventuality and it will be necessary to develop effective creative solutions to address newly forthcoming issues.

Measuring and analysing vendor performance in terms of quality and timeliness is fundamental to success; hence a thorough understanding of the financial and quantifiable aspects of performance is critical. This is most relevant in relation to vendor costs and the financial repercussions of good or bad performance. A thorough understanding of Vendor Contract Management trends and best practices is also expected. We are looking for a good team player who can work closely with client stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations of the vendor. We expect that the candidate we select will have exceptional negotiating skills along with a strong sense of business acumen.

Start date: January 2015

Employment type: Contract - 3 to 4 days on-site per week (4 day contract initially)
