Responsibilities• Technical delivery of SAP Basis administration deliverables in mission critical production support environments
• Participate in client meetings
• Troubleshoot & resolve incidents with stringent SLA criterion; drive critical incident management procedures
• Provide on-call support during non-business hours on a rotation basis
• Plan and execute critical changes and releases
• Engage in problem management process for root cause determination & permanent corrective action
• Support team in resolving critical technical issues during crisis situations
Required
• SAP Basis System Administration on ABAP & J2EE stacks for Netweaver 7.0 and higher versions
• Expertise in administering other specific SAP products/components like MDM & Trex
• Troubleshooting skills to handle complex SAP Basis related incidents
• In-depth exposure to administering SAP systems deployed on Linux & Oracle platform
• Working knowledge on Oracle standby databases
• Conceptual knowledge & working experience in HA & DR scenarios for SAP landscapes (Linux & Oracle platform)
• Good knowledge in ITIL processes – Incident, problem, change & release management
• Fluent in German and in English languages
• Experience in providing SAP Basis support for mission critical 24x7 SAP production system landscapes
• Flexibility to work in 24x7 on-call models
• Willingness and flexibility to learn new technologies, scale up quickly and adapt to different roles as the situation demands
• Ability and willingness to contribute to technical deliverables
Secondary skills
• Working knowledge on Basis activities like system refreshes, client copies, homogeneous/heterogeneous SAP system migrations, SAP installations, support pack deployments, EHP & kernel upgrades
• Ability to troubleshoot performance degradation issues in SAP environment
• Conceptual knowledge of servers, storage & network from a Basis system administration perspective
• Xandria & Solution manager monitoring
• Familiarity with SLAs fundamentals & ITSM tools like Remedy and Optis
• SAP Netweaver Professional & Associate level certified resource will be a plus
