For our client we are looking for a Technical Project Manager (Digital Transformation).Location: Flexible but with extensive European travel

The Next Generation Infrastructure programme (NGI) is a key part of our Digital Transformation agenda. This is one of Europe''s largest technical and service transformation programmes and we are looking for talented, highly capable and dedicated people to join our international team and contribute to the programme''s and the company''s Digital Transformation overall success.
Reporting directly to the NGI Technical Delivery Manager Data Centre and in conjunction with a team of approximately 20 colleagues and 4 direct reports, you will manage the actual Migration of the local Data Centres following a Due Diligence across all in scope markets for the NGI Programme. You will mobilise and lead a team of technical resources to carry out the Migration and Rationalisation of all in scope markets for the NGI Programme according to the Design and Methodology set in the Programme. This, in fact leads to the need of spending long times i.e. full time on side in the specific markets. For specific small markets the migration teams need to perform the due diligence work as well, according to the set of standards and methodologies set out by the migration teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced individual, with previous experience of delivering large scale Data Centre change programmes to lead this key work stream within a high visibility, strategically critical infrastructure transformation programme.
- Develop, own and maintain a detailed, specific and realistic project plan which can then be rolled up into the overall NGI programme plan
- In conjunction with the PMO Manager manage all changes and updates to the Migration work stream providing updates for reporting and status updates in line with the governance and reporting calendar
- Actively participate in the design review process for DC to provide technical input, support the definition and delivery of requirements and ensure an agreed and fit for purpose solution can be built and implemented by the delivery teams
- Lead the engagement with key stakeholders to define and establish best of breed processes surrounding the Migration Workstream
- Actively engage with local market IT teams and management to agree on the Migration Schedule and Wave Plan
- Manage the programme migration teams to ensure effective and seamless market migration in line with the plan and programme budget
- Drive effective governance and communications between the project delivery teams and local market IT teams
- In conjunction with the PMO Manager, ensure local rollout activities are managed against the overall portfolio projects to avoid unexpected constraints and delays
- Build and lead an enabled, high capability and performance orientated team to deliver migration by fostering a culture which recognizes and develops talent, and promotes best practice people management
- Work together with the local IT-Teams in times of uncertainty.
- Delivery of complex IT projects and technical programmes preferably delivery Data Centre Infrastructure
- Very strong technical understanding of Data Centre infrastructure and software products
- Ability to build successful delivery focussed teams even where resources are not under your direct control
- Proactive, flexible and resilient personality with the ability to quickly adapt to changes in priority
- Understanding of commercial needs and ability to build and manage a substantial project budget
- Ability to see the big picture, analyse complex delivery schedules and evaluate ways to meet expectations
