Service Delivery Director

The IT Network are delighted to be working with a major Global Systems Integrator who are seeking a Service Delivery Director to join their Managed Services Business in a high-profile role as the Service Delivery Director. The Director will lead an established program of work, and coordinate cross-business resources to ensure achievement of goals, schedules and quality commitments.

A key component of this position is to lead and provide guidance and advice to Service Delivery Managers of all levels, as well as supporting functions which include resourcing, planning, business strategies and profit and loss.

Responsibilities will include:

  • managing the a multi dimensional IT Service portfolio including service delivery or programs of great strategic importance and high complexity;
  • acting as the organisation's single point of contact to the customer during ongoing delivery or program implementation;
  • managing the client relationship, in terms of client satisfaction with respect to service delivery or program activities;
  • owning overall risk, commercial liabilities and productivity improvements in order to create best in class service;
  • collaborating with engagement teams to establish and drive appropriate cross functional and vendor commitments for sale and delivery of a program's integrated solution;
  • responsibility for revenue, growth, productivity and profitability for the entire client portfolio;
  • facilitating growth and penetration of the program;
  • developing strategies with the relevant Sales teams for growth and protection of the business;
  • taking an active role in the new business process to ensure that the proposed service solution is compelling, optimised and deliverable;
  • ensuring that effective governance and strategic relationship structures with Clients are maintained to ensure a successful working relationship.

You will need to have;

  • experience in General Management of a major IT function;
  • excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • familiar with IT Industry strategic directions and is competent to lead the review of related service delivery issues as they apply to specific clients;
  • entrepreneurial with a passionate commitment to quality;
  • innovative and commercially astute with a service vision and proactive approach;
  • pragmatic strategist;
  • confident, energetic and tenacious with excellent negotiating, interpersonal and communication skills, providing direction and guidance;
  • adaptable to changing customer needs;
  • able to demonstrate significant and proven experience of leading and managing service delivery teams;
  • superior people management and leadership skills, together with professional standards of planning and budgeting.
