For our customer in Northern Germany we are currently looking for a Commercial Project Assistant as a part of the Operations Department.
Your task:
- Assist Project Managers in the preparation of variation order requests and changes to the contract and subcontracts
- Prepare and provide day to day finance and administrative support to the project teams, incl. preparation of the monthly progress reports for the Project Manager
- Identify and timely communicate changes and deviations from the original contract with the Project Manager and recommend and prepare course of action
- Prepare and/or co-ordinate the preparation of all documents necessary for a tender and ensure timely completion and comply with project requirements
- Evaluate bid submissions from subcontractors and prepare evaluations for review by Project Manager
- Manage and monitor contract administration, claims and/ or disputes and review subcontractors invoices
- Co-ordinate and assist all (commercial) project activities (including those related to subcontracts) in order to achieve the best performance of the entire organization
- Initiate and prepare improvements specifically related to project administration
- Co-ordinate or take care of schedule modifications in co-ordination with the planner
- Establish and maintain project planning and progress reporting for assigned projects
- Prepare and arrange for all administrative tasks on project base, as required
Your qualification:
- A graduate degree with a commercial/business administration/technical background
- A minimum of 2 years of quality related experience in marine and/or offshore industry
- Good command of the English and German language, both written and spoken
- Team player who can work independently
