IP/MPLS Engineer - Cisco, Core, 3GPP, Routers, IP
My client has a couple of open IP/MPLS engineer contract roles based in Hamburg, Germany for 6-12 months.
The IP/MPLS engineer will have worked on core backbone and the IP/MPLS engineer will have design, test and implementation experience. Some of the main duties and responsibilities of the IP/MPLS engineer will include:
RoleIP & MPLS Engineer
Responsibility* Design, Test & Implementation of the required changes & capacity extensions in the IP/MPLS Core Backbone
* Connection of the Mobile Data & Voice Service platforms to the transport IP-networks according to the functional, capacity, performance and redundancy requirements
* Documentation of the IP-Designs in Word and Visio format
* Documentation of network elements such as ports, MDF, patch-cabling, interfaces, IP-addresses in o2 inventory systems
Required Skills, Know How and experience
* Design & optimization of Cisco based IP/MPLS networks
* Deep knowledge of Cisco Routers 12xxx, 76xx, 72xx, ASA, Switches 65xx
* Solid knowledge of the Mobile Core network architecture (3GPP Rel.)
* Analytical thinking, flexible, fluent in English, pro-active, team player as well as leadership, solution oriented, good communication skills, project management skills
