For one of our clients we are loking for a Technical Accountant (m/f) in Cologne.
Tasks:
- check incoming statements of account for completeness and accuracy, verify accounting information against treaty database and wordings, correct entries in the treaty database where necessary in cooperation with the relevant Business Units and interantional branch offices
- check accounting part of loss borderaux and liase with the claims department as regards all loss relevant information
- booking of statements of accounts (premium/commission and loss/loss reserve items) into the relevant system
- prepare statements of account for automatic upload by converting them into the standard format where applicable
- process automatic uploads and verify correctness of transferred items
Requirements:
- an excellent understanding of reinsurance accounting, numbers and complex issues
- excellent command of both written and spoken English and German
- a good working knowledge of another foreign language would be beneficial
- a high level of commitment and flexibility
- the ability to work to deadlines either individually, without direct supervision, or as part of a team
