Leading a team of software developers you will coordinate with architecture, business analysis, infrastructure, release management and quality assurance teams on a daily basis to successful deliver several software development projects on the SharePoint/.Net platform. You may also may also be required to act as the Service Delivery Manager for support, maintenance and enhancements on delivered systems.
Specific activities include:
- Execute the planning and delivery of the listed projects, to an agreed schedule and budget, adhering to the PRINCE2 project management methodology
- Develop Work Packages, project documentation, project plans and other required documentation on the projects
- Provide expert management of day-to-day progress and operational aspects of the projects
- Coordinate on a daily basis with the project customers
- Provide regular reporting to the Project Board and the Manager IT
- Manage and control the overall scope of the project
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities, within the limits of authority
- Review and approve project deliverables
Knowledge/Experience/Training
- Strong and demonstrable experience with SharePoint 2010 (absolutely essential)
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
- Extensive IT project management experience, including successfully managing the delivery of large and complex IT projects to the satisfaction of the client;
- Expert knowledge of PRINCE2;
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills in the English language; ability to document complex business processes and requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Ability to tactfully manage close working relationships with challenging and demanding clients;
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
- Must be results-oriented, customer-focused and responsive, with a highly professional manner;
- Must be a self-starter, able to manage his/her own time and dependencies effectively to deliver high quality documents according to the time frames agreed and escalating issues to the responsible project manager as appropriate
This will be an initial 6 month contract with likelihood of extension.
