T2S Service Implementation Consultant (f/m)Business Area
With TARGET2-Securities (T2S) the Eurosystem (the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the Euro area) seek to create a common securities settlement platform in Europe. In consequence, the T2S settlement engine will take over the processing of settlement operations from the participating CSDs. Securities deliveries in Central Bank Money at national level and across national borders in Europe are then possible on one technical platform.
T2S Service Implementation takes care of coordination for introduction of the new T2S landscape and liaises with all departments and project teams involved. The activities of the Service Implementation Team are of strong importance for the successful launch of T2S Releases in a seamless manner.
The responsibilities of the Service Implementation team cover the full range of activities for launching new releases starting with the project schedule for rollout and end with the completion of the production introduction. The Service Implementation team is also responsible for organizing the management decision making for production introduction and supports organization of the production introduction weekends.
The organizational readiness activities which are also covered within the Service Implementation team are driven by the goal to achieve a timely readiness of DBG line departments, i.e. that they are aware of their new responsibilities / tasks and are able to perform them accordingly.
Task and responsibilities
• Establish and agree plan for rollout of new releases with involved parties
• Coordinate and communicate delivery schedule for new software versions in simulation and production
• Maintain close relationship management with the parties involved
• Organize and track the activities of involved departments and project teams for rollout of new releases
• Creation of documents related to the simulation and production introduction
• Track and escalate issues posing a risk for the production introduction
• Maintain close relationship management with affected projects and other systems
• Creation of project related Organizational Impact Analyses for the respective solutions
• Organisation, performance and documentation of meetings with all impacted line organisations
• Co-ordinate of multiple involved internal departments, especially to find solutions
• Elaboration, consolidation and tracking of a activity list for all impacted line organisations
• Mediation and presentation activities
• Facilitate, track and support solution of technical and functional issues
• Support the functional project team in the development of change requests, issue identification and tracking
• Support the respective line organizations in the adaptation of Service Level Agreements and operation contracts
Mandatory skills and experience
• Consultant with minimum of 2-years experience in Service Implementation/Organisational Readiness or related areas.
• Excellent co-ordination and communication skills
• Show a structured working method, show analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• General functional knowledge of securities settlement
• Business proficiency in German and English in speaking and writing
• Highly motivated and engaging nature, positively assertive
• MS Office
Optional skills
• General T2S knowledge is an advantage.
• MS Project is an advantage
• Start date of assignment: October 1st 2014
• Intitial contract duration 15 months (optional: extension is anticipated but cannot be guaranteed)
