Performance Testing Manager - Investment Banking - Financial Reporting

We provide innovative solution to the Corporate and Transaction banking, capital markets, wealth and investment management communities through our team of highly skilled Subject Matter Experts. We have offices in London, NY, Frankfurt and Singapore. Overall we specialize in Global Change Management programmes.
We currently have a need for a consultant to engage as a Performance Test Lead with one of our main clients on a global financial reporting programme.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high level test strategies for review and sign-off by senior stakeholders
- Develop detailed test performance test plans for review and sign-off by technical stakeholders.
This activity entails
- NFR analysis
- Production workload analysis
- Application architecture deep dive and detailed release change analysis
- Identification of optimal testing interfaces and test harnesses
- Definition of the measurement points and required monitoring (application and infrastructure)
- Identification and clear articulation of risks and issues associated with the test approach
- Develop technical performance test approaches for non-GUI based applications that are heavy in ETL processing and database processing.
- Analysis of production month-end processing patterns for the systems under test using Shell Scripting and advanced Excel to determine testing workload models and required data sets.
- Design and oversee the development of test harnesses for data feed processing (typically JMS-based)
- Manage vendor resources responsible for development and execution of all performance tests
- Develop and manage the day to day testing run book which includes tending to environment issues (data/code/config), environment usage conflicts and team workload balancing.
- Produce and deliver daily and end-of-cycle performance test reports for consumption by all levels of the organization
Key skills required:
- Experience in designing and developing test harnesses for non-GUI based applications which are not a fit for off the shelf tools such as Performance Center/LoadRunner
- Experience with SOAP, XML and JMS
- Oracle Exadata and Hadoop MR expertise and the associated monitoring tools (AWR and Cloudera)
- Shell Scripting and advanced Excel for production data analysis of workload patterns and data sets
- Oracle database testing and performance analysis experience
- Hadoop testing and performance analysis experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience interacting with CIO-level executives.
