for a Business Analyst (f/m) Global Reconciliations Utility

Project environment

The role is within the Global Reconciliations Utility (GRU). The Global Reconciliations Utility aims to be the Centre-of-Excellence for reconciliations services and support in a global Swiss Bank. GRU is an organisation with representatives in Zurich, London, India, Singapore and North America. It works in partnership with Business and Operations units globally across all divisions.
With its service catalogue GRU´s operating model can consider and adjust to the complexities of different businesses needs and client demands.
The GRU Global Reporting colleague will be responsible for supporting development, implementation and maintenance of BaroMIS, a reporting, MIS and KPI framework for GRU globally, available to GRU Management and GRU Business Partners.
The ability to measure processes in terms of risk, performance, cost and quality and to create transparency through numbers has become a rampant demand for internal and external stakeholders. Fast, easy and near time availability of this data for analysis is another key success factor.
Implementing a flexible framework to manage-by-numbers therefore is a key strategic initiative for GRU and its business partners with high profile to Senior Management in Corporate Center, WM&SB and IB Operations.

Tasks

• Analyzing banking specific, applicational, procedural and organizational problems and developing solutions.
• In line with allocated tasks independently collecting and analyzing data and facts of a case to elaborate solutions and decision guidances.
• Collecting, filtering and consolidating information from a variety of scopes and areas.
• Raising, analyzing and evaluating processes, applications and structures and defining target solutions.
• Supporting coordination of projects and leading small (sub)projects.
• Supporting the management team in their daily business.
• Collaborating with risk control, risk evaluation and risk reduction.

Requirements

• Professional individual from a financial services and/or IT background.
• Strong understanding of banking operations processes, particularly reconciliations.
• Knowledge of a project lifecycle.
• Expertise in reconciliations systems, specifically TLM, and all related functionality.
• Experience in mapping business requirements into formal functional documents which can be used to build reconciliations.
• Experience in designing/implementing of Cash, Stock and Inter System reconcilia-tions.
• Ability to analyse business specifications and translate this into technical terms.
• Knowledge in Data Analysis.
• Sharepoint Skills.
• Knowledge of the bank’s products and businesses, including specific product knowledge (Desirable).
