Teradata is looking for a well-rounded UX Designer for a contract engagement.Although we have a short term need, we are looking to develop a good relationship for future potential contracts.
The Designer will work with resources based in Munich and the US (no travel to US required) to ideate and agree on the UX for feature improvements to Teradata’s Digital Marketing SaaS software. The Designer should be proficient in creating low-resolution mock-ups, such as wireframes, for the purposes of exploring design ideas and communicating the ideas to others. The Designer will rely on a Component Library newly built by the UX team, and may need to extend or improve the existing Components. The Designer will work closely with Product Managers and other UX Designers during this ideation phase.
Once the basic wireframes have been created, the contractor will need to create high fidelity, pixel-accurate mock-ups and/or specifications to present to the Development and QA teams. The contractor will work with the Development team to ensure that the software is built according to specification.
Required profile:
• Experience designing UX for software, not just websites
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
• Excellent visual design acuity
• Experience building wireframes in OmniGraffle, Visio, or equivalent tool
• Good written and communication skills. Proficiency in English is required.
• Good understanding of UI Interaction fundamentals
• Front end development skills not required
