Solutions Architect

For our client we are currently hiring a Solutions Architect.

Qualifications

Experience in establishing and working with Enterprise Architecture methodologies, processes and tools

Experience in designing and formalizing logical and physical solution architectures and using these to guide the implementation

Very good knowledge and experience with Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architecture

Experience in modern development methodologies (TDD, Continuous Integration, code reviews...)

Very good knowledge of the web technologies, in particular: UX design and UI development standards and frameworks (HTML, CSS, DOM, JavaScript, jQuery, Dojo, PHP...) XML technologies

. Knowledge about (Web) security standards

Very good knowledge of the Java stack (including but not limited to J2E, jBoss, Spring, Camel, Groovy, Grails... and .net (including C#, Visual Basic) and MS Office, Design and development experience in MS SharePoint, IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Content Management, Google Search Appliance

Design and development experience in SAS

Design and development experience in SAP (including SAP HR, Web Dynpro technologies, SAP Workflow technologies, Smart forms, SAP Portal Content Administration)

Very good knowledge of database design: RDBMS (DB2, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB)

Excellent skills in verbal and written English

Very good time management skills, having the ability to deliver within strict deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Good communication and presentation skills, having the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences

Proactive attitude and the ability to anticipate foreseeable issues

Familiar with enterprise desktop applications: MS Office, Exchange, Outlook, Lotus Notes, Confluence, Jira

Tasks:

Structure & complete business demand from an architecture perspective, and translate the demand into solutions for delivery of the required service;

Support the project managers/technical project managers to define standard solutions and platforms;

Define the technical approach for solutions to business automation needs that are not supported by standard solutions in full cooperation with Enterprise Architecture unit (EA&I);

Draft the technical specifications for the customisation or application development based on the product descriptions and the business requirements;

Design, and occasionally support coding, test, correct and document customisations and developments;

Perform Architecture and code reviews to verify the alignment between the deliverables and the standards;

Consistently apply principles that guide solution decisions for business change and infrastructure projects, in collaboration with other solution architects and under the guidance of the Enterprise Architecture & Innovation department;

Interface with the Design Authority and Enterprise Architecture unit (EA&I) in the context of roadmaps for architectural changes and capability platform strategies, as member of a virtual team;

Determine the potential impact of industry and market trends in the respective area, and make recommendations for changes and improvements;
