Service Manager - Desk-side Support

Client: Global IT Consultancy, working for a multinational end customer in the financial sector.

Role: To manage, support and enhance delivery of deskside support services. This person will be required to join an existing support team and improve processes for End-user support, by boosting on site and face to face interaction with the end-users and making on site support capabilities more efficient. This will involve regular review of response and performance to reports and requests, and ensuring the deskside service teams are supporting the business consistently by adhering to SLA's. Responsible for working with vendors to ensure all applications are centrally managed and ready to use.

It is essential that this person speaks fluent German and English to a business level degree.

Skills required: Good knowledge of IT and general IT processes. Understanding and experience of ITIL process flow. Experience with IT Service Delivery, ideally in an IT delivery organisation. Excellent communication skills, having the ability to work with all levels of the business from end-users to IT Management. Ability to work in a calm fashion when in a sometimes unstable environment and to prioritise work.

Desirable skills: Microsoft qualifications. Experience with Hardware and Software support.

Location: Munich, Germany

Starting ASAP.

6 months with likely extension.

Rate: Euros per day.
