My client is an IT Consultancy based in Munich and they are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to work on a specific project with their financial services client.
Responsibilities:
*Working on client engagement teams in carrying out both reactive and proactive data analysis of large volume of structured and unstructured data involving a wide range of database management systems and financial platforms.
*Working onsite to help clients leverage knowledge from their data through the application of advanced analytics.
Skills/Qualifications:
*Degree qualified with a 2:1 or above in Computer Science, Natural Sciences or Mathematics related degree;
*Strong track record of working in as a Data Scientist in the financial sector
*Proven experience of data extraction, analysis, cleansing, quality and manipulation skills for example:
*Experience of handling very large data volumes (incl. efficiency and scalability concepts)
*Experience in data analysis and manipulation with any of the following software: SQL (esp. SQL Server), SAS, and IBM SPSS.
*Knowledge of statistical techniques and analysis (such as regression, clustering, sampling, social network analysis)
*Understanding of at least one Scripting language such as Python, PHP, VB; or programming languages such as Java, C++, C#
You will be a talented Data Scientist who can add value to any team by leading from the front and helping others where required. The successful candidate must have strong English skills both written and spoken. In addition to this you must be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
