QA Engineer with a strong development background - English speaking business working environment
In summary:
The successful candidate will have a strong development background with a clear test/quality focus.
Skills/experience:
- familiarity with a majority of the main technical skills, specifically J2EE (Linux, JBoss, Hibernate, Oracle), in-house JS based UI framework,
- familiarity with Selenium (or Jenkins or Sonar) as far as pipeline build with continuous integration and nightly builds,
- experience in Test Driven Development (TDD),
- preferred agile methodology (Scrum) familiarity for development activities,
- fluent English, written and spoken.
Tasks:
- participate in the design of the application and design its testability and traceability (functional and non-functional requirements) in coordination with Product Definition Engineers and Software Engineers,
- build test Strategy and test plans with Quality managers, Product Definition Engineer and Software Engineers,
- develop automated tests and test scripts to perform functional, regression and non-functional validations across the different phases of the software development cycle. It is anticipated that the tests create their own data in the beginning and delete them at the end to ensure a full control of the functionality tested,
- investigate anomalies highlighted during executions with Product Definition Engineers and Software Engineers and the other Quality Engineers in Central and specialized Divisions. Regroup anomalies of the same nature in problem tracking record (PTR)s,
- maintain history of tests by feeding and updating a report database,
- provide a subset of the tests and scripts to responsible test Coordinators (for monitoring) and Quality assurance Services (for end-to-end Quality Regression tests),
Overall objective:
As the focus is on improving time to market (sprint deliveries ready to go to production) the Client needs to further improve on test automation and early high quality output instead of relying on QA.
Hence the requirement for experience in TDD.
