I am seeking a Hadoop Engineer to join a global manufacturing organisation in Munich.
As a Hadoop Engineer you will be integral to my client's digital transformation as a lead expert behind the development and progression of their Hadoop platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of Hadoop in a large scale environment
- Providing hardware architectural guidance, planning, estimating cluster capacity
- Creating roadmaps for Hadoop cluster deployment
- Be a valuable team player in an international environment
Skills:
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics or equivalent
- 2 years experience working in a Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Map, Reduce, Pig, Hive and Mahout
- Exposure to SQL, R, Python/Shell Scripting, Sqoop, Flume and Apache
- Experience with designing Cluster node configuration, connectivity and capacity
- Architecture experience will be beneficial
- Fluent in English
