Hardware Engineer

Contract: 3 months

SEC Recruitment is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join a prestigious international IT consultancy.
This is an exciting multifaceted role;
You will be responsible for:
Installation-
Installing copper and fiber backbone as per the agreed design
Installation to confirm to Industry standards as listed in low level design document.
Provide install and logistics support.
Provide adequate time to ensure competition installation tasks in a reasonable time frame. Note install timeline will be strictly as agreed in the project plan and agreement.
Proactively calls for random inspection work in progress.
Provide adequate documentation of skill level and certification of working personnel.
Should be flexible to redo a task if not confirming to standards or customer satisfaction
Provide daily, weekly, monthly progress reports
Capture all port/Panel details
Prepare an Audit plan for post install audit
Cable Labeling-
Label all Copper and fiber backbones
Label of connection and patch cords
Label Panels
Record backbone and cabling details
Provide complete details panel/ports/Number of cables/Type/cable routing information of each rack
All labeling information shall be recorded on the as-built drawings
Rack & Stack-
Unpack and verification of BOM
Dispose of unpacked material in coordination of Colocation Provider, Customer & the client
Install the device as defined in the Rack Elevation diagram
Install as per manufacturer guidelines
Properly secure all rack mountable devices to the rack
Record and update the Device, Make model, Serial number in the inventory register/log
Record the number of PSU in each device and PSU capacity
Post successful install produce the updated rack elevation and device details
Documentation-
Provide As built drawings, Rack elevations
Test reports
Provide Patch Panel port details
Provide drawing and post information of Telco patch panels and circuits
Quality control reports
Final project documentation
