Bosshard & Partner is looking with Mandate 2500for a Solution Architect (f/m) in Unified Communication & IP-Telephony Area
Project environment
A global Swiss Insurance Company is looking for a Solution Architect who has the primary responsibility to develop new products and services within the Unified Communication area based on the requirements from the business community. Furthermore, he has the responsibility to create and govern standards and guidelines for various products and technologies.
Tasks
• Interaction with internal customers to gather requirements and present a full-scope solution.
• Create the detailed RFQs and interact with the outsourcing partner(s) to insure that they develop, validate and support the solutions required by the company.
• Oversee the designs within an outsourcing environment, and ensure that the developed solutions meet the companies’ security and networking standards.
• Provide 3rd level technical consultancy services for internal colleagues and external service providers.
• Optimize the existing environment by evaluating and developing new technologies / products / concepts and lead PoCs and lab testing.
• Manage roadmaps and product portfolios, handle non-standard requests.
• Conduct internal and external knowledge sharing sessions (Team, the companies’ Architecture Forums, sourcing partners).
• Work with other groups of the company to develop proactive approach to Application Readiness Support (verify the readiness of new applications or changes in applications before they become productive).
Requirements
• Solid experience in the area of communication, network, video and IP-telephony (design and engineering).
• Expertise in the area of Cisco Unified Communication, Cisco Telepresence, Cisco routing & switching and Microsoft Unified Communication products.
• Very good troubleshooting and monitoring skills: Analyze issues/problems, identify alternative solutions (including consequences of proposed actions) and implement recommendations.
• Ability to translate requirements into solutions.
• Ability to prepare business and technical content for business cases and project documentation.
• Ability to assess the marketplace (understand what is out there) and to promote our team (show other teams/business what service we provide and how we can be of benefit to them).
Soft skills
• Very good English writing and speaking, German writing and speaking is a plus.
• Ability to effectively interact with internal/external resources and other business owners on a nontechnical level.
