Mansion House Consulting is a highly successful and rapidly expanding Technology and Business Transformation Consultancy specializing in the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Asset/Fund Management and Wealth Management sectors. We currently have offices in London, Frankfurt, Singapore, New York and Florida.For our client, an international High-Street Bank, we are looking for a Project engineer/ Physical Build (m/f):
The role:
The GBS Physical Build role is responsible for maintaining and managing available pre-provision equipment and parts (inventory management) and evaluating against upcoming deployments. The role is responsible for technically validating vendor hardware quotes prior to ordering, and checking against orders if there is a discrepency post build. The phsyical build team are also responsbile for blade and chassis inventory management and will carry out soft and hard allocation during the provioning process. End to end tracking of equipment ordered from when an order is issued to a supplier and ultimately delivered and installed in to a data center.
Skillset:
• Experience in server hardware technology
• Decomstrate technical knowledge so as to be able to compare designs and vendor quotes and ensure sucessful procurements as well as resolve technical issues
• Strong time management skills and effective at multi tasking
• Comfortable with escalations and pressure environments
• Detailed oriented
• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks and concerns to multiple stakeholders
• Moderate understanding of end to end server provisioning, like networks, stacking and racking, hardware, storage, backups and databases
• Strong relationship management skills to build working relationships with our service providers like facilities, network deployment, server administrators, etc
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
