Desktop Support Specialist required by Global Telecommunications Corporation based in Böblingen, Germany on a 12 month extendable contract.
Job Summary
The EMEA Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for;
PC support, IT problem management and IT customer care. This position will involve regular interaction with customers and other personnel working at other sites within the region. You will also be Responding to and resolving IT service. The Desktop Support Specialist will need knowledge of the software and hardware platforms utilised by the end-users is obligatory. The position will report to the EMEA ITO Regional Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities;
As the successful Desktop Support Specialist you will be providing end-users with IT support. You will also perform installation, configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting of desktop software/hardware, network components, remote access, and other IT infrastructure and telecommunication matters as well as ensuring that all supported client software performs to specification.
Role Requirements;-
Fluent English & German Speaking. - Good understanding of high technology software tools - High level knowledge of the following Microsoft software: o Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7, Office, Outlook - Expert background in desktop computing, particularly with Microsoft products.
