My German client operates second and third generation mobile networks, allowing customers to use GPRS, EDGE, UMTS up to HSPA+ and LTE for data connections. Beside the core business my client is one of the largest retailers for cell phones and tablets. They are now on the hunt for a project manager assistant for one of their exciting projects. They are now on the hunt for a POC rollout - Carrier Access Project Manager
Targets:
The position holder is responsible for the implementation of the project to expand the existing IP-based transport network of the mobile sites.
These include the timely provision of IP Routers and fibre optic connections for the development of the mobile sites.
Main tasks/responsibilities:
- Independent Project coordinator in line with internal and external project teams with end-to-end responsibility regarding the technical realization and order processing
- Personal responsibility for coordination of external contractors and carriers
- Control and monitoring of internal and external project resources and tracking of appointments and possibly initiating escalation procedures
- Management and monitoring of procurement of materials
- Further development and optimization of processes
- Final acceptance of service packages
- Create project status reports
Candidate profile:
- Professional experience in the area of network design (IP/SDH-based transport networks), especially in the Project- Rollout-Coordination
- Basic knowledge of transport technologies (xWDM, SDH, Ethernet)
- Good work organization and process orientation
- Proactive, results-oriented thinking and acting
- Teamwork, perseverance and resilience
- High degree of commitment, sense of duty and responsibility
- Reliability and accuracy
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Safe handling of databases (Project Management Tools)
- German Fluent & English. (This is a must)
