Mansion House Consulting is a highly successful and rapidly expanding Technology and Business Transformation Consultancy specializing in the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Asset/Fund Management and Wealth Management sectors. We currently have offices in London, Frankfurt, Singapore, New York and Florida.For our client, an international High-Street Bank, we are looking for a Windows/Wintel System Administrator:
The role:
The Windows/Wintel System Administrator role will require general core skills for supporting, diagnosing and administering Windows servers. The role will be mainly queue focused and include predominantly problem ticket resolution, performing change requests, security patching, server OS maintenance and some project based work.
Skillset:
• Server builds, configuring chassis, installing firmware
• Building ESX Cluster environment with instructions, standalone server builds
• Work with partners such as HCL in driving the run the bank support
• Experience supporting Windows servers in a large enterprise environment for the past 3 years
• Working knowledge of TSM Backup/ Anti-Virus/ Tivoli monitoring technologies
• Experience working with HP server hardware
• Windows Clustering
• VMWare knowledge
• Scripting, ADO, VB Scripting knowledge (preferred)
• Web development, ASP pages (preferred)
• Understanding of SQL
• Considerable experience in building servers, monitoring queues
• Solid knowledge of at least three of the following - Monitoring Clustering, Active Directory, Citrix, VMWare
• 5+ years of experience supporting Windows platform
• a good understanding of the demands of building servers under tight SLA's
• a positive, 'can-do' attitude, excellent customer-facing skills, and a high productivity rate
• Interpretive, persuasive written and verbal communication skills
