For our client in Frankfurt Germany (an international IT Supplier) we are looking for an experienced and well-versed IT Infrastrucutre Compute Architect.Role and Responsibilites:
• Design of IT Infrastructure solutions based on requirements from the business making use of existing IT
capabilities and services in the company.
• Build Architecture Artifacts that can be used by the Architecture group
• Understand the business and application requirement and translate it into an Infrastructure solution.
• Provide value add in optimizing Technology for Business in order to reduce Cost of IT.
• Alignment of Business processes with Technology wherever needed for deriving better Business results (profits).
• Create whitepapers on emerging technologies that can be showcases to customers.
• Create Technology Roadmap and Technology Vision.
• Build reusable components that can be used by Architecture team.
• Act as a single point of contact for any Architecture related work based on Compute Technologies.
• Architecture and Design of Compute in a large architecture project.
• Build of project plans for architecture related projects and manage the entire project.
Profile:
• Minimum 8-13 years of IT experience with minimum 6-7 yrs of hands on experience and 2-3 years of IT
Architecture is required.
• You should be able to face the challenges, identify the key result areas & to make decisions.
• Willing to travel overseas and work in client location
• Defining the solution strategy and roadmap to meet the business and IT needs
• Ability to get into details when required
• Ability to take the both functional and non-functional requirements from the respective teams to freeze the SOW.
• Review the SOW ensuring the scope and the prerequisite is complete by validating the dependencies on other
projects, IT infrastructure resources required, cross technologies needs are met.
• Create Review and validate the design by engaging with the respective stakeholders.
• The architect should ensure that the proposed design is aligned with industry best practices and the solution is
well optimized.
• The candidate should be in a position to build Technology standards, IT Strategy, Roadmap and articulate new
trends.
• The candidate should demonstrate good understanding of Sizing and product evaluation and selection.
Strong knowledge in of the below underlying technologies such as
• Architecting Virtualization Solution using :VMware or Hyper-V Industry standard hypervisor
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux Operating system
• Good understanding of Clustering solution available in the industry
• Very good understanding of Server consolidation/Migration/Virtualization/Data Center consolidation in X86 and
RISC Domain
• Architecting Compute Solutions using (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX)
• Good understanding in Architecting and designing RISC based Compute solutions
• Good understanding of HP, CISCO, Dell Blades and Rack servers hardware
• Good understanding of IBM, HP and Sun (RISC Servers) hardware
• Good understanding of Chassis Switches
• Good understanding of converged solution like Vblock, Flexpod etc
• Fundamental understanding of Networking: (Routing/Switching/Converged Networking/WAN Optimization)
• Basic understanding of EUC technology: Exchange, Citrix, AD etc
• Basic understanding of Cloud Concepts
• Basic understanding of Storage : Block, File, object etc
Wished certifications:
• TOGAF or Zachman
• VMware/Hyper-V etc
• UNIX certifications
• Cloud Certifications
Languages:
German & English fluent
