For our international organisation client in Munich and The Hague (NL) we are looking for Unix Infrastructure Administrators.
General Profile
- Engineering and administration of Unix (SuSE, AIX) systems and 2nd level support
- Designing and maintaining OpenLDAP
- Operating and architecting SAN storage devices on virtualised Servers
- Managing problems regarding operating system, virtual machines and hardware
- On-call duty
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent ability to communicate orally and written in English
- Experience with ITIL change, incident and problem management
- Work place: Munich or The Hague
Must Have
- At least 5 years proven experience of SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) system engineering and system administration;
- At least 5 years proven experience of system engineering and system administration of SAN storage devices on virtualised Servers;
- At least 5 years proven experience of system engineering and system administration of Open LDAP;
- At least 3 years proven experience of running Linux as virtual guests on VMware;
- At least 3 years proven experience of running Linux as virtual guests on z/VM;
- Proven experience of running Linux as virtual guests on Xen;
- Proven experience in debugging issues in the interface between operating system, virtual machines and hardware;
- Proven experience of tuning of applications, in particular of advanced search engines Epoque
- Proven experience with IBM GPFS;
- A thorough understanding of HA concepts.
Advantageous to have
- Experience of AIX version 6.1 system engineering and system administration;
- Experience with the system engineering support for applications like Epoque, Kime and Anser.
