Key responsibilities will be but are not limited to:

• Provision of an effective IT Support service that includes Event Management, Incident Management and Problem management
• Analyse internal customers' needs, and determines solutions to problems by means of automated systems; develops customised solutions to customer/user problems
• Take ownership of end to end ticket resolution and ensure tickets are assigned correctly
• Develops general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instructions; and revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies
• Source and analyse relevant subject matter documentation
• Actively contribute to the completion of program reports
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives
• Contribute to IT Support process and policy development and improvements
• Ensure adherence to processes by internal framework

It is essential to have the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrated experience in providing effective IT Support – min of 3-5 years
• Experience in mentoring and guiding other members within an IT Support team
• Excellent understanding of the interfaces between IT Support and the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
• Professional experience in the use of Service Management Delivery tools
• Solid knowledge and professional experience within technologies and domains including Linux, UNIX & Windows
• Strong experience in IT troubleshooting
• Experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
