Volt is an award winning Recruitment & Staffing Company. We provide world-class contract and permanent recruitment and managed service programs. Volt is the European operating arm of Volt Information Sciences Inc. - one of the world's largest and longest established recruitment company.
We currently need a contractor for a 12 months project in Munich/Germany for an international client.
Technical Design Architect
Duties:
- Providing technical expertise in developing, deploying, and managing solutions to Corporate clients'
business needs
- Developing network strategy and architecture coordinating and driving the business functions to
deliver on the associated designs
- Strategic managerial consulting, streamlining, managing, and maintaining communication and other
related systems
- Analyzes and defines client business problems, and adopts and implements our clients and third
party services including new technologies to solve those problems
- Provides a technical business solution
- Participates as a member of the sales engagement team in pursuit of new business opportunities
- Functions as the lead technical design authority, coordinating engineering support, identifying
architecture and interoperability gaps that need to be addressed to drive performance, and
positioning with strategic thought leaders in the Client and end-user
organizations
- Through on the job shadowing and other means trains existing junior staff to become technical
designers/architects
- This is a customer facing role supporting key accounts in the Europe
- Candidate will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with Client architects and will
work on-site at client location
- Delivers executive presentations on IT strategies for multiple service technologies
Necessary:
- Working experience in Telco field
- Experienced people manager
- Detailed knowledge of telecommunications technologies and product
- Ability to close highly complex, custom, large deals that have strategic consulting and significant
revenue opportunity for our client
- Able to work effectively through influencing and negotiating at senior management levels
Language skills:
- English - fluent (English is the major language for this project!)
- Italian and/or German an is an advantage
Qualification:
- +5 years as a technical leader in the network technology sector
