Our client is a well-respected middle-class organization.

This position will represent the Strategic Sourcing organization relative to the procurement of goods and
services. The successful candidate will coordinate the activities related to the purchasing and sourcing
process for hardware, software and other products and services while adhering to BCD Travel’s standard
concepts, practices and procedures. The specialist will also be responsible for contract management,
ensuring that all proper documentation is obtained and uploaded into the contract database. The
specialist will also ensure renewals are fulfilled in a timely manner and will provide accurate information
for budgeting purposes.

- Obtain price quotes from vendors, negotiate as necessary, ensure quote accuracy and obtain proper
approvals
- Enter purchasing requisitions and follow the process thru to delivery
- Verify items received into financial system properly
- Facilitate returns
- Manage existing and new contracts in a central repository and ensure information is accurate and
complete
- Provide internal reporting to manager as required for monthly activity reports, cost savings analysis
and other information as necessary.
- Notify necessary parties when contract renewals are forthcoming
- Perform asset management duties relating to the proper disposal of equipment with vendors
- Monitor the performance of the vendors on a regular basis
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specially outlined herein, but which are
logically and properly inherent to the position.
