One of our prestigious clients is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/f) located at their office in Southern Germany to support their European Information and Communications Technology team.Main responsibilities will include:
Managing In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) software development together with the software manager. You will work on the maintenance and improvement of the IVI software development process, manage project timelines and ensure the achievement of quality gates.
Be the main customer for all software related issues in the IVI development.
In detail you will:
Define and implement project plans.
Report progress and propose recovery/ improvement options.
Identify design and implementation issues and propose and gain approval for countermeasures.
Identify and propose future strategic options for technology, services, and products.
Ensure a smooth exchange of information by daily contact with our customer and with the European and Japanese engineering colleagues.
Lead 3rd-party software vendors and subcontractors.
Benchmark existing IVI systems and propose new processes or equipment to improve efficiency and
liaise with technical suppliers, industry experts and stakeholders.
Requirements:
You will typically have an engineering degree with a focus on embedded software or comparable experience. Your profound professional experience regarding the development and integration of automotive embedded software including the relevant quality processes (e.g. FMEA) will qualify you for the role.
Additionally you will possess deep knowledge of
Linux/ Linux Middleware, ideally Windriver Linux PFI environment
DOORS
Ethernet, C++ templates/ patterns in OO applications
Clearquest/ Clearcase
Knowledge about NVIDIA, Intel or Renesas automotive IVI platforms (NVIDIA preferred) as well as regarding GenIVI architectures, Qt, Jira, MS Dev Studio, Makefile and GDB is an additional advantage.
An understanding of general trends of In-Vehicle Infotainment, experience regarding production oriented management and an insight into Agile/ Scrum processes will help you to successfully fulfil your responsibilities.
You will have strong intercultural competence and a structured and logical working approach combined with the ambition and dedication to help to grow up our Information and Communication business in Europe. You will have the capability to effectively communicate and make use of available resources to progress your tasks successfully. You will display strong organisational and analytical skills as well as project management ability.
Languages / Travel:
You will work within an international and highly diverse and multi-cultural organisation on a day-to-day basis. A very good level of English ability is required. In this role you will be expected to undertake occasional business travel.
