Transmission Integration Engineer - Düsseldorf OR Frankfurt
Several Transmission Integration Engineers, some of them shall have a Radio Network background, are needed on contract basis in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt for one of our clients, an international telecommunication company. Only English language is required.
Responsibilities:
- Product & system configuration in RAN transmission networks ie provisioning of connectivity between RBS-Node and respective controller node (BSC, RNC, EVO) for IP and E1 services.
- troubleshooting during integration & commissioning (Inbetriebnahmeentstörung)
- Support of ASPs & O&M staff
- Improve & execute the relevant swap procedures for RBS swaps & replacements
- Contribute to alignment of regional processes to a harmonized way of working for transmission integration services
- Clarification of work-orders with the relevant customer's network planning functions
- Investigations on actual configuration status to support clarifications at a highest technical level
- Usage of the relevant OSS systems and local craft terminals including relevant CLIs
- Usage of the relevant customers ticket systems and configuration databases
- part of the technical Back Office
Requirements:
- Very good knowledge and relevant working experience from Vodafone
- Good understanding of SDH, PDH and Ethernet services in RAN transport networks
- Hands-on experience in configuration and fault-finding for the following product families: SIAE microwave AL-Series ( BEP 2.0 ), Ericsson/Marconi microwave, ECI multiplexer families, ATM-Transport (Nortel Passport)
- Hands on experience in configuration of technologies through relevant OSS systems, as well as related LCT and CLI applications
- Deep knowledge on TTWOS ticket system and CRAMER database (ability to teach others)
- Ability to work in international cross functional teams (ASP on site remote support centers)
- Ability to document and communicate
- English language skills (written and oral)
