Mansion House Consulting are a highly successful and rapidly expanding Technology and Business Transformation Consultancy specialising in the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Asset/Fund Management and Wealth Management sectors. We currently have offices in London, New York, Jacksonville, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Singapore.
There is an immediate requirement for an experienced Decommissioning/Project Manager to join a global tier one investment bank to global infrastructure programme. The successful Project Manager will lead end to end management of decommissioning strategies, working closely with the core engineers and application support and implementation engineers.
Applicants will be expected to prepare proposals and manage 3rd Party reviews, manage the internal liabilities process and ensure decommission of IT systems is in line with current security and operational standards. Project Managers will have expert knowledge of Infrastructure environments.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience in IT systems and hardware decommissioning
- Previous experience working as an Infrastructure PM in a Banking environment.
- Ability to track projects well and liaise with project team members.
- Candidate needs to relate with project managers, senior management and technical engineers and support staff
- Solid understanding of server hardware types, components and peripherals.
- Understanding of all Operating Systems (mainly Windows/Solaris)
- Appreciation of network terminology and protocols
- Understanding of Oracle, Sybase, and SAN Storage is advantage.
- Strong understanding of Front Office applications is desirable.
