Windows Desktop Support Engineer - 6 months Contract rolling - South West of Stuggart (Baden-Wurttemberg region) - GermanyLong term contract available for an experienced Windows Desktop Support Engineer Support Specialist to start ASAP.
The client:
A large consultancy (FTSE 500)
Your responsibility:
Hardware Support. (Printers, Laptops, desktop, Mobile devines)
Replacing desktops and laptops, with migration to Windows 7/Office 2010 from Windows XP/Office 2007
Implementation of Remote Desktop Services Windows 7 for their workstations
Post migration support of Window 7, Applications & Network
Active Directory/Exchange and Account management on Windows server 2008 R2.
Inventory/Asset Tag management
Level 2 phone support - up to 100 users
Essential skills required:
Strong experienced in Frontline Support: call tracking queue, providing resolution to end users by phone and through desk side assistance, utilizing call tracking tools, a knowledge database, and adherence to standard, pre-defined support processes
Strong proven experienced in supporting Unix & Windows operating systems
Good Experience in OS Troubleshooting (Windows XP and Windows 7).
Basic application troubleshooting knowledge.
Experienced working in a global team (offshore/onshore model)
Good Experience in Data Backup Techniques.
Good hands on experience in Hardware Support. (Printers, Laptops, desktop, Mobile devices)
Excellent communication skills - English & German speaking is a must
