For our client located in Hamburg, Germany, we are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience Wind forecast and day ahead optimization tools.

Introduction
The current wind forecast tools and day ahead optimization tools are under review and will need to be updated or replaced. The scope of the project is to analyze the current tools and processes. After analysis phase, based on requirements from business, an evaluation of different alternatives should be performed and a decision for one solution will be taken. Afterwards the chosen solution will be implemented. All these activities have to be performed together with the line organization.
Profile
The project needs a Full time project manager with following competences:
- Proven track record as End responsible Project Manager in Wind forecast and day ahead optimization tools and processes in a complex IT landscape with high availabilities.
- Previous cross-functional, cross-disciplinary related project experience with an in-depth understanding of all components of project management
- Collaborate and effectively work with multiple departments and stakeholders from across the organization to negotiate and establish priorities (people manager)
- Able to bridge between opposing stakeholders but should also have a forceful/demanding management style (kick-some-ass) in his/her repertoire to enforce decisions or action if necessary
- Plan the complex project(s), prepare regular project review meetings, maintain log of actions and decisions, track completion of actions and be transparent & consistent in costs (realized and forecast)
- Engage with project team, project sponsor to ensure alignment and progress and create transparency;
- Analytical skills to break down project goals and milestones into logical and effective work packages to facilitate incremental delivery
- Skill to consistently follow-up on progress and forecast per work package and their critical path
- A self-initiating proactive individual who has a track record in managing, driving and motivating project teams from analysis through implementation stages in complex multi-disciplinary environments.
- Energy trading and/or Generation management industry knowledge is a must.
- Experience in managing resources across different locations (eg NL, DE) is very convenient
- Strong record in managing conflicting interests between stakeholders
- Strong record in delivering on timeplan and in budget
- Senior PM - also with experience in people management
- Ability to travel to other location if necessary
