IIS Architect -Germany-12 months- euro450-euro500 per day
We are looking for a IIS Architect to work for a global organisation. This is a 12 month contract based in Frankfurt paying between euro450-euro500 per day
Responsibilities: Act as a Lead IIS Architect and create High Level & Low level design for IIS web farm. Provide support during build and testing the IIS web farm. Interface between IT and its website hosting clients, including both internal (Web Dev, QA, Support, Implementation) and external client web site owners.
Application of best practices, disciplines and tools across the requisite technologies, including IIS, web services, directory services, security, database, and networking infrastructure with a working understanding of Networking Principles, TCP/IP, .NET Framework and SQL.
o Perform new website installations while improving overall new client site setup process.
o Provide day-to-day website support including analysis, debugging, maintenance and performance tuning for Web Hosting environment (Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.x, .NET framework, load balancers, etc.).
o Participate in new Windows Server OS installations and configurations (Windows Server 2008 R2).
o Specialist in using IIS and the innovative exploitation of its extensions, including: site setup, IP bindings, URL redirects, app pool recycling, HTTP response headers, output caching, compression, request filtering, handler mappings, IPv4 restrictions, SSL certificates, virtual directories, session state persistence, web server farms, etc.
o Specialist in other aspects of website setup and operations including: TCP/IP, SFTP/FTP, DNS, Active Directory, internal & public IP assignment, NAT'ng, windows server roles/features, website monitoring & alerting, performance monitoring & engineering, NTFS & directory security and load balancing.
o Specialist in applying different strategies to remediate website application software vulnerabilities (ie cross-site Scripting) using Web Application Firewalls (Cisco Firewall hardware or WAF software); in accordance with PCI compliance and OWASP guidelines.
o Specialist in load/stress/performance testing of website applications and performance engineering disciplines.
o Provide input to tactical and strategic plans for the enterprise Web Hosting infrastructure that balances business need, industry best practices, cost, and alignment with corporate direction.
o Assist in the delivery of server virtualization utilizing our SAN/VMware infrastructure, specifically the setup and maintenance of QA & Web Dev websites.
o Assist in the delivery of a Content Delivery Network (CDN) including delivery of a cookie-free media subdomain.
o Develop, establish, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Skill Level:
o Minimum 3 years of working experience in design and architecture of web farm
o Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server Admin (2003 to 2008 R2), IIS Admin (II6 to, II7.5) with working understanding of Networking and Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, SSL).
o Minimum 3 years of working knowledge of E-commerce web applications, services, systems, security and supporting technologies.
o Must be able to accept change in a dynamic environment, adjust priorities, think outside the box, be pragmatic, voice and effectively communicate opinions, great listener, detail-oriented, multi-tasking with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
o Candidates with Microsoft Certification in one or more of the following preferred: MCSE, MCSA, MCTS
