For one of our clients in Germany, Wolfsburg I am looking for 5 Cobol developers with experience as follows. The client is ready to give a 12 months contract. The project is for 2 years.
- Strong Cobol developers
- Supporting development/troubleshooting of software including, but not limited to the following tasks:
- Designs, develops, enhances, tests, debugs, and implements software in accordance with software development best practices.
- Troubleshoots production problems and provides support and resolutions related to software applications.
- Identifies performance issues in software and can recommend solutions to alleviate performance issues.
- Researches, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
- Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects.
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Participates in development of software user manuals.
- Designs desktop and web solutions for large scale multi-user deployments including software architecture, functionality, work flows and user interface.
Required experience:
- experience in Cobol: 6+ years
- experience in of the following:CICS, IMS, Easytrieve, C++ Java, PHP & MW Servers, DB2
- German speaker: MUST
