for an IT System Engineer (f/m) in the Financial Environment
Project environment
A Global Swiss Bank.
Tasks
• Oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of capturing and archiving solutions.
• Hands-on design & implementation.
• Liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews.
• Work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles.
• Conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks.
• Support the Project Manager with the creation and assignment of engineering work packages.
• Liaise with Project Manager to plan all engineering quality assurance measures such as design and code reviews, review of IT specification and other technical documentation.
• Liaise with IT Production to agree on technical documentation to be delivered and other operational requirements to be met.
• Ensure 3rd level support for the applications in scope.
Requirements
• 10+ years experience in similar positions.
• Understand the partners’ requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue both in the project as well as in the productive environment.
• Experience in e2e software development lifecycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components.
• Experience in Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations.

Technical skills
Must have:
• Windows operating system on client (WXP, Win7) and server (WSP - W2K8) side.
• Windows software distribution and packaging mechanisms.
• Scripting (batch processes, Perl, SQL, XML).
• Configuration management, Software packaging.
• IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt. etc.).
Nice to have:
• Programming (Visual Studio environment, .Net framework).
• Oracle product expertise, expertise in RDBMS modeling and DB development (PL/SQL).
• Exchange Server ) product experience including SMTP Mail flow, Email Routing, Envelope Journaling.
• UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience.
• Experience with storage and archiving solutions and respective product knowledge (OpenText LEA/CM, ComplianceNow).
