Network Engineer/Carrier Packet Transport/R&S/Routing and Switching/CPT/MPLS/CCIE/CCNP/Cisco/ MEF/E-LINE/E-LAN/E-Tree/E-Access
This is a crucial role within a small and growing dedicated team supporting a key customer operating in 14 European countries under multiple brands. We have been successful establishing a CPT environment in two of the largest affiliates (Germany, Switzerland) and are aiming to build on this. We now need an individual to be part of the team, focusing on project as well as support work, assuring the customer's networks.
The Position
Key responsibilities for the role include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Project based work (design, implementation)
- Pro-active Support/Subject matter expert based work - support TAC and BU as the SPOC for all CPT networks in the customer family.
- Occasional support for Scheduled and Unscheduled Change Requests (MWs support)
- Potential for extended customer on-site presence
- Ability to build and maintain internal & external relationships
- Maintaining collaboration between:
Core Delivery Team as well as other teams

The Individual
This position requires an individual with a proven track record of delivering complex design, implementation and support services into major customers. The individual will be able to relate to senior customer technical staff and internal professionals.
- Typically requires CCIE or equivalent plus >5 years related experience in networking industry, or
- Have a Minimum of 8-10 years of Routing and Switching experience in design, implementation and support
- Ability to balance multiple complex and critical tasks
- Advanced consulting, negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Teamwork and leadership capability
- Ability to work independently in remote customer sites
- Ability to establish strong technical customer relationship skills
- Ability when required to act as a technical project manager
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Location, in order of preference, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Switzerland
Technical Skills Required
Carrier Packet Transport = CPT experience is a BIG bonus!
- Very good knowledge of MEF CE 2.0 Architecture
E-LINE/E-LAN/E-Tree/E-Access - Good Knowledge of IOS CLI (7600 ES+ EVC-like model)
- Good Knowledge of MPLS-TP Technology
- Basic Knowledge of ONS Platform (CTS Operations Model)
- Basic Knowledge of CPT Platform (Product Architecture)
- German speaking language skills would be beneficial but not mandatory
