Bosshard & Partner is looking with Mandate 2266for an Oracle / Storage Performance Manager (f/m)
Project environment: A global Swiss Bank
Tasks
• Actively manage DB/Storage performance and throughput of strategic infrastructure platforms, such as DHP (Database Hosting Platform), CS Linux Platform, SAN & NAS, etc.
• Define methodology and basic approach, select required tools and technologies
• Intensively collaborate with peer groups and experts in Application Development, Pro-ductions Support, Platform Integration and Engineering.
• Provide information and support to Operations, Application Development and Plat-form Integration - lead remediation actions in case of performance degradation or performance related system failure within the DB, storage (SAN/NAS) and backup environment
• Intensively collaborate and leverage existing Capacity Management function
• Support resource based application infrastructure profiling to determine current resource needs in addition to forecast growth.
• Optimise resource usage and performance by developing capacity management pro-cesses.
Requirements
• Oracle 10g/11g (>10 years), including knowledge of the following:
o RAC/ASM
o Dataguard
o RMAN
o Grid Control
o Database Tuning / Optimization
• Unix/Linux (>10 years), including knowledge of the following:
o Veritas VM / CM
o VMWare ESX
• SAN / NAS Storage Architectures, including knowledge of the following:
o HDS / EMC
o Dynamic Tiering, Thin Provisioning
o NFS Netapp
• Application / Tool / Procedure development using:
o PL/SQL
o Java
o Perl
o Shell
• Fluent written and spoken English and German
